Good communication and consistency are the main keys to successful co-parenting. Fortunately, smartphones and other technology is available to help keep the lines of communication open. In this blog, Vancouver WA Family Law Attorney Crystal Lambert-Schroeder talks about today’s available options.
Google Calendar
The most basic way to track visitation and events is to share a google calendar. It’s free, its accessible, and works across a multitude of platforms.
Moeity App
Moeity, a fancy way of saying “half” is a brand new app created specifically for co-parenting. It’s goal is to provide a neutral environment for parents to share calendars, track expenses, and confirm events.
Our Family Wizard
Our Family Wizard wants to keep kids out of the middle. According to their site: “The OFW® website reduces divorce conflict between you and your co-parent by providing a central, secure location to document and share important information about your family. Schedule parenting time, share vital information and manage expenses like un-reimbursed medical all through OFW®.” Attorneys, therapists, and court officials can log in to track your family’s activities as well. It’s available on
2houses
2houses is another scheduling app. It’s features are similar to Our Family Wizard. However, what sets it apart is a handy feature called “The Wish List.” Take photos of items your child needs and upload them to the app. That way, the your co-parent knows what to get if placed in charge of purchasing the item.
