In this article, we conclude our four-part list of eight suggestions for successful co-parenting. Below, we look at forgiveness and making time for yourself.
Practice forgiveness. Experts recommend that before you forgive your former spouse, you forgive yourself. Contemplate letting yourself off the hook for any mistakes you made during your marriage and divorce. Remember, after forgiveness comes freedom.
Make time for yourself. You deserve, and need, time to yourself. Consider trying a new activity or something you haven’t done in a while. By making time for yourself, you’ll be more attentive and focused when you’re spending time with your kids.
