Dealing With Divorce With the Help of a Vancouver, WA Attorney

People deal with divorces in many different ways. Divorce lawyers in Vancouver, WA see a variety of emotions and a range of coping mechanisms.

In July of 2012 the Huffington Post posted an article which listed divorce rituals that were a little more elaborate than just signing documents in the lawyer’s office.

Here are those rituals as posted in the Huffington Post.

  •  In a Japanese temple, visitors can write breakup wishes on a piece of paper and flush them down the temple’s toilet, according to Reuters.
  • CNN reported that German bishop Margot Kaessmann calls for divorce ceremonies where friends and family gather in a church and listen as the divorcing couple explains their reasons for ending the marriage.
  • The Unitarian Universalists practice a divorce ceremony very similar to the couple’s wedding. In this manner, the same community that helped marry the couple can also give their blessing on the couple’s parting ways. The divorcing couple can publicly apologize to each other and make peace before they are officially single once again.
  • A trend that’s actually on the rise is hosting divorcing parties to mark the end of a marriage and celebrate new single lives. Divorcing celebrity couples seem to be at the forefront of this controversial trend.
  • The Jing people, one of China’s ethnic minority groups, actually obtain a certificate of divorce that cannot be written inside the home, explains author Zhongyi Jia. Once the certificate has been signed, the pen and inkstone should be disposed of because they may contain bad luck. – See more at: http://www.cadivorce.com/news/divorce-ritual/#sthash.aDerZqTp.dpuf
